Prepared Childbirth Classes Based on the Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices

Developed over years of research, these classes are designed to simplify your birth process with an informed approach that helps alleviate your fears and manage the physical challenge of labor. These practices will help keep your labor and your baby's birth as safe and healthy as possible, regardless of any variables.

The Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices

  1. Let labor begin on its own.

  2. Walk, move around and change positions throughout labor.

  3. Bring a loved one, friend, or doula for continuous support.

  4. Avoid interventions that are not medically necessary.

  5. Avoid giving birth on your back, and follow your body’s urges to push

  6. Keep mother and baby together — it’s best for mother, baby and breastfeeding

Sunday Tortelli was awarded the prestigious Fellow of the Academy of Certified Childbirth Educators (FACCE) designation in 2015, which indicates that she has made significant contributions to the field of childbirth education including promotion of the Lamaze International fundamentals of birth, research, advocacy, media and community leadership efforts.
